Pauline Milwood
Dr. Milwood is a tenured professor at Penn State University. She researches and teaches in the areas of Hospitality Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Revenue Management; Strategic Management; and Advanced Food Operations & Service Management. Her innovative teaching initiatives led to the launch of experiential learning pop-up restaurant projects at Penn State Berks and have earned her awards and recognition, including the 2020 Canvas LMS award for teaching and technology innovation.
Dr. Milwood’s research focuses on corporate social innovation and entrepreneurship and innovation performance in tourism destination networks. She has presented at various international conferences and has been actively involved in industry keynotes and speakerships. Her research has earned her the best paper awards at the Swiss-based Advances in Destination Management Forum in 2014 and 2024. She is an active member of ITSA-Caribbean and serves on the Board of Directors for Pennsylvania Americana Region (PAR) and Jamaica Land We Love (Jalawelo).
Before joining Penn State, Dr. Milwood was a Research Fellow and Lecturer at the Centre for Tourism and Policy Research at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, where she contributed to research, community film projects and operational oversight. She served as adjunct lecturer at several institutions, including the Mona School of Business and Management and the University College of the Caribbean.
She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Tourism), an Executive MBA and B.Sc. in Hotel Management and 25 years managerial experience in Jamaica’s hospitality industry.
