Carol Hart
Carol graduated from Temple University's with a major in Computer & Information Science. Music, however, has always been her passion and an integral part of her life from when she was a little girl. So it was no surprise that her involvement at her church was centered around the worship ministry with an emphasis on music. She directed the children’s choir, sang on various praise teams, and provided outstanding leadership to the adult choir for over 25 years. During those years, she developed a desire to take the ministry of music outside of the church and this led to the choir's engagement in mission trips to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Guyana, and a bus tour along the East Coast of the United States. More locally, the choir sang in nursing homes, at community events and in many other churches.
However, in 2013 she felt that her time with the choir was over, and that God was calling her to ministry that would more faithfully and consistently serve her community. In an amazing series of events she was led to start and now directs an ESL school at the church which offers free English classes to the international community in her area. God has blessed the ministry beyond expectation. Carol’s involvement with Jalawelo offers yet another opportunity for her to be a part of God’s mandate to his church to engage in the kingdom work of shalom, of restorative justice, of the flourishing of all God’s people.
Carol is married to Dr. Tony Hart, senior Pastor of Montco Bible Fellowship in Lansdale, PA. They have
four children and seven grandchildren.
